Parkwood students learn about Constitution

Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Library and technology specialist Dawn Kasper-Bamberger discussed the Constitution with classes at Parkwood Elementary this week.

Before care students create art for residents at Life Care Center

Students that attend before care at Bridgeway Elementary spent time working on an art project for residents at Life Care Center of Bridgeton.

“The students are making tray liners that will be used during meals so the residents have something pleasant to see when they eat,” paraprofessional and before care teacher Josie Chapman said. 

The project was a good way for the students to help spread happiness.

Pattonville High School English learner teacher Eleanor Taylor was named one of seven finalists for the 2022 Missouri Teacher of the Year, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recently announced.

Mark your calendars: Homecoming is Oct. 1 and 2

The Pattonville community will celebrate homecoming on Oct. 1 and 2 with a variety of activities for Pirates of all ages. Community events include a Friday night football game pitting the Pattonville High School Pirates against Parkway South and a parade in Maryland Heights. The theme for this year's homecoming festivities is "A Night at the Movies." Find out details below.

High school students honored during White Coat Ceremony

It’s been Jasmine Gray’s dream to be a doctor since she was 5 years old. On Thursday, she got another step closer to making that dream come true. 

The Pattonville High School Biomedical Sciences White Coat Ceremony was held on Thursday, Sept. 2, in the main gym to recognize Gray and 22 other students who have successfully completed coursework in Pattonville's nationally certified biomedical sciences program. Due to social distancing needs, only students receiving their white coats were recognized in-person.
