Dear Pattonville families and staff,
As we head into spring break, I want to share a few important updates with you.
Pattonville will offer a three-week summer school program for children currently in grades kindergarten through eighth grade (K-8) attending a Pattonville school. Families are welcome to sign up for one, two or three weeks of sessions. In addition, Pattonville High School students will continue to be able to take credit advancement or credit recovery courses this summer. Summer activity and athletic camps are also available.
Dear Pattonville families,
We have been given the opportunity to partner with the Urban League and the National Guard to conduct a mass vaccination event for our staff on Wednesday, March 17. As a result, we will need to make Wednesday, March 17, an independent, at-home learning day for students who attend classes both in-person and via the Villemade Virtual Academy (all grade levels). There will be no in-person classes on Wednesday. Students should log into their Canvas or Seesaw accounts to view instructions from their teachers and to find out when their teachers are available for support. As an awareness for family schedules, Wednesday’s virtual learning day will not need to be made up in the future. Parent-teacher conferences will still be held on Wednesday at all levels.
“I’ll take Geography for 200.”
Students in Mr. Matthew Loyet’s second hour Social Studies 6 class at Holman Middle School participated in Day 1 of a two-day Jeopardy game to review for Tuesday’s test.
Two representatives from the Pattonville School District shared their knowledge during a virtual learning series sponsored by the EdTech program of EducationPlus, the Midwest Education Technology Community (METC). Both Dr. Matt Goodman and Dr. Tammy Hasheider were featured during the week of March 8 when the ISTE Standard was Analyst.
In-person classes at Rose Acres Elementary School only are canceled Friday, March 12, due to an urgent plumbing issue that needs to be repaired. While the plumbing is being fixed, restrooms in the building will not be available for use. Friday will be an independent virtual learning day for students who attend classes both in-person classes and via the Villemade Virtual Academy at Rose Acres. Students should log into their Seesaw account to view instructions from their teachers and to find out when their teachers are available for support. As an awareness for family schedules, today’s virtual learning day will not need to be made up in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause families and appreciate your patience and understanding.
