PAW-kwood first graders celebrate the 101st day of school

The first graders at PAW-kwood … ahem, I mean Parkwood Elementary celebrated the 101st day of school with a 101 Dalmatian Celebration.

Students had a dress up day and wore black and white clothes and created their own dalmatian headbands and Froot Loop dog tags this morning. Each activity made students practice counting to 101.

Today’s lessons also had several math and literacy activities that were centered around the number 101. The students brought in a collection of 101 things and presented it to the class and had a writing assignment this afternoon answering the question, “If I were 101 …”

First grade teachers are Abby Beckermann, Mallory Hamilton, Tiffany Laughlin and Belinda Rainey.
