Students in the orchestra program at Pattonville High School earned All-Suburban and District Solo and Ensemble Festival honors this spring.
Students selected to the All-Suburban Orchestra are Sydney Hoynacki and Anna Kasprzyk for bass; Kenedi Jenkins for cello; Chandler Fajardo and Aaron Wolz for viola; and Maya Blumenthal, Elly Lu and Norina Shao for violin.
Additionally, many students earned rankings at the District Solo and Ensemble Festival.
Hoynacki and Kasprzyk earned a 1-rating for bass solo. Jahlil Johnson and Talisa Prabhu earned a 1-rating for cello solo. Brianna Coddington, Nya Coleman and Wolz earned a 1-rating for viola solo. Charley Bennight, Jade Boyd, Caleb Fetter, Lu, Emma Schonhoff, Shao and Jacob Zarosa earned a 1-rating for violin solo. The following students earned a 1-rating for string duet: Boyd and Coleman, Justin Bowers and Hoynacki, Camille Brown and Tyler Hunt, Tara Chandler and Lu, Aiden Farkas and Drake Ives, Rachel McCormick and Simon Wacker, and Meredith Stroud and Jessie Stark. Students who earned a 1-rating for string trio are Blumenthal, McCormick and Wolz; Lashae Brown, Harry Heitmeier and Jenkins; and Schonhoff, Rapheal Seymour and Tara Wang. Those who earned a 1-rating for string quartet are Isaac Blassingame, Coleman, Abigail Evers and Tyler Hirschbeck; and Sarah Pieper, Schonhoff, Shao and Wang. In addition, many students earned a 2-rating, including Blumenthal, Olivia Hernandez, Meg Holder and Millen Patel for violin solo. Miles Vance, Seymour and Orney Walker IV earned a 2-rating for viola solo. The following students earned a 2-rating for string duet: Samantha Beasley and Holder, Quinn Long and Bell Tucci, Cassie Medley O'Brien and Alex Rugerio Romero, Pieper and Shao, Rana Qasem and Marcus Swingler, and Ben Wallace and Derek Wiser.
