Pattonville High School announced and recognized the school’s Top 10 seniors based on grade point averages during the graduation ceremony on July 16 at The Family Arena. The high school presented the Top 10 seniors with T-shirts from the universities they will attend after graduation. These students have grade point averages (GPAs) that fall between a 4.5 and a 4.8 on a 5-point weighted scale.
The Top 10 seniors in the Pattonville Class of 2020, their declared majors and the universities they will attend are:
1 - James Pieper, double majoring in finance and computer science at Washington University in St. Louis;
2 - William Skaggs, National Merit Scholar majoring in computer science at the University of Texas at Dallas;
3 - Elise Thompkins, majoring in psychological and brain sciences on the pre-occupational therapy track at Washington University in St. Louis;
4 (tie) - Nathan Moser, majoring in biblical and theological studies at Wheaton College;
4 (tie) - Matthew Samuel, majoring in psychology or biology on a pre-med track at the University of Missouri-Columbia with a full-ride Perfect Score Scholarship;
4 (tie) - Emily Schrumpf, plans to earn a masters degree in architecture at the University of Kansas;
7 (tie) - Kyle Halveland, National Merit Scholar majoring in health science with an emphasis in nuclear medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia on a full-ride scholarship and then plans to attend medical school;
7 (tie) - Camilla Wilkerson, majoring in mathematics on a pre-education track with a full-ride Pershing Scholarship at Truman State University;
9 - Natalie Young, majoring in music education with a scholarship at Belmont University;
10 - Nathan Mashburn, majoring in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in aerospace engineering with a Curators Scholars Award at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
