The Pattonville High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted its newest members.
The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.
The application process was all online.
Dan Derby, Bridgeway Elementary fifth grade teacher and Pattonville's current Teacher of the Year, has been named by Emerson as a 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award honoree. He is one of 100 educators across the St. Louis metropolitan region recognized this year for demonstrating excellence in education and exceptional dedication to students.
The Pattonville Community Action Team (PCAT) is offering “Healing the Cove,” a series of free online sessions designed to provide Pattonville families, staff and community members with information and support on a variety of topics related to mental health and well-being. Each month during the school year, PCAT will offer two online sessions on topics facing local families, such as coping with stress, suicide prevention for caregivers, getting control of your finances and helping your child with anxiety. As part of a science unit, third graders in Ms. Kelly Wilkin’s class at Remington Traditional are researching and writing a report on an animal of their choice. They are finding basic facts about their animal, describing the ecosystem they live in and explaining adaptations which help them survive.
